January Green Drinks Success!
Chris John, his dog, and his wagon
On January 10th, this past Monday, SLO Green Drinks met for the second time at Steynberg Gallery. It was a great success and we all left inspired! One of our attendees was Chris John, who is walking across the US with his dog and his wagon that has a solar panel on it. The panel doesn't power the wagon's movement (he pulls it) but provides him with energy for Christmas lights, or for whatever he needs power. It was great to see this contraption and hear about his travels. Chris as been on the road since 1997 and he visits eco-farms and sustainable intentional communities. Check out www.thetruthfarm.com for more information.
We also heard stories about the United Nations Climate Talks held in Cancun, Mexico from Ben Peters of REC Solar.
I was inspired by these stories and those of local entrepreneurs and sustainability professionals. Don't miss the next one!
